Oxidation-Catalysts
Oxidation Catalysts are used for the waste gas purification of lean burn engines. This leads to a reduction of Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Formaldehyde (HCHO).
Following basic reactions take place:
2 CO + O₂ > 2 CO2
HCHO + 02 > CO2 + H2O
We offer different housing types. Basically the housing types vary depending on the installation location. The catalyst can either be installed into an exhaust pipe or into the head of a silencer or a heat exchanger. The advantage of the integrated installation is lower costs.
In general the catalysts for bio gas aggregates should be easy to remove for cleaning or replacement. To this end, a slide- in housing is installed into the pipe system or integrated into a heat exchanger head. The inspection-opening is insulated to allow easy access and problem-free removal of the catalysts. Thereby the plant has shorter non-operation periods.
We can not only dimension the oxidation catalyst to meet the TA-Luft but also minimize the data so far that the formaldehyde-bonus can be kept. We offer tailored solutions even for complicated space conditions.
Today, by special request, housings are already designed with larger slide- in- catalyst- modules in order to meet increased maximum limits of formaldehyde in the future.
