The rising demand for commodities and a shortage of raw materials consequently leads to an increase of price for precious metals such as palladium, platinum and rhodium.

AIR-SONIC GmbH offers a recycling process that provides the material recycling of these precious metals out of old catalysts. A high percentage of precious metals on the surface of old dysfunctional catalysts can still recycled.

Old catalysts are collected by our customers – usually by their service center- over a longer period of time and then sent to AIR-SONIC in larger quantities.

The recycling process takes place once or twice a year since only a larger quantity of catalysts minimizes the fixed costs of recycling and the refunds are accordingly cost-effective.
 
Metal as well as ceramic substrates can be added to the recycling process. In total, the costs for the purchase and the installation of catalysts are clearly reduced.
